A few days late, but here I am. Happy Easter everyone! We are very thankful to be having beautiful weather here for the holiday weekend. This is going to be our first year of having the egg hunt outside. We have tried in years past, but it is always to wet. The kids are hoping the Easter bunny can find them in our new house. I assured them that if Santa found them the Easter Bunny will as well. H is actually at that age where he is questioning the validity of the Bunny and his jolly counterpart. He piped up in the backseat of the car while we were driving with G that he thinks it is the parents that bring things to kids. I told him I realized they were real because I knew my parents would never spend that kind of money on toys and andy for me. He seemed to buy it, but I think we only have this year (a very skeptical on at that) left before the jig is up, and than he will probably tell G. i will never actually confirm it, but he will know! Easter menu
Flank Steak, grilled on the grill outside
Green Bean, sauteed in beef broth and almonds on top
mashed taters
salad
and cake, or chocolate bunny ears if the kids aren't looking!
Next weekend I am taking the MTTC test, so wish me luck! Have a great weekend everyone!

Good luck on your test.
W has told me more that once that our neighbor boy has informed him that there is no Santa, Easter Bunny, great pumpkin...I have always turned around and asked W if Santa brings presents for the neighbor boy and he says no. Then I ask W if he believes in Santa and he says yes, so I quickly ask if he gets presents from Santa and he rolls his eyes and informs me that I know he does. So, I finish out the conversation with..."There you go, the neighbor doesn't believe in Santa so Santa doesn't bother to bring him anything...you believe in Santa and are rewarded with stuff we aren't sure you really deserved...so, as long as you believe in Santa it looks like he will continue to bring you presents." Now, I'm not saying that he will believe in Santa or any of his counterparts any longer than had we not had the conversation. I do believe that it may take him longer to tell us...and hopefully H...that he is on to us.
We did the Easter egg hunt down south today. H had about 5 seconds to grab what he could from his roped off section. W spent about an hour in the pool with a bunch of other kids and finished off diving for change. (BTW, did you hear they are talking about closing the other pool because the city has a million dollar hole in their budget?? A high school kids are even getting in the debate over that.)
Happy Easter Egg!!
Good Luck on your test! mmmmmmm flank steak on the grill.....Can I invite myself to dinner?
